ASU Student Accessibility and Inclusive Learning Services (SAILS) provides support and access to learners to enhance the quality of learners’ educational experience and ensure accessibility.
ASU Student Accessibility and Inclusive Learning Services (SAILS) is the central campus resource for learners with disabilities to ensure access to their education and help increase awareness in the university community.
Students with disabilities enrolled in ASU courses may be eligible for reasonable accommodations. If you are interested in exploring potential accommodations, complete the registration form. Once we receive your form, we will set up an initial appointment with you to discuss what accommodations may be needed given the impact of your disability.
Timed assessments
ASU’s Student Accessibility and Inclusive Learning Services provides testing accommodations for students with disabilities. These accommodations include extended time, readers, scribes, adaptive equipment and more, ensuring that all students have equitable access to exams and quizzes.
Alternative format
ASU offers alternative formats for course materials to help students with print disabilities. Formats include MP3s, Braille, e-text and PDFs. Faculty support is needed to provide materials early for conversion.
Communication access
ASU offers communication access services for students with disabilities, including interpreters, CART transcribers and C-Print/Typewell services to provide real-time transcription.
